Meet An Unsung Hero…

Johnny Longboat that is! The legend of JL is that he helped people after the hurricane in 1928 that hit Palm Beach County. What a better way to keep his namesake alive than to open a restaurant in his name Johnny Longboats. Located on North Ocean Ave. on Singer Island, this open ocean breeze restaurant has been around for awhile and is most certainly a south Florida icon. Serving breakfast (M-F 7- 11a.m.), lunch, and dinner, this place is sure to capture your appetite. The happy hour eats from 3- 6 p.m. are some of the best prices in the area. With $3 hush puppies, $5 ceviche, $2 drafts, and both clam and oyster specials, you can’t go wrong! I usually stop in for a beer and an app, but they have an extensive menu for sure that includes everything from beef tips, tacos, sandwiches, salads, chowders, clams, jambalaya, ribs, burgers and sooo much more! In addition to their live music, they are also ready to host your next event or even cocktail party. One of my past favorite events they have is their Oktoberfest! Oh, I almost forgot, the beach is within yards of this place, so what better way to cool yourself off with a libation and some great food! Have fun!
