A Saturday Morning Tradition

Who doesn’t love a great farmers’ market? Introducing an amazing start to a Saturday morning up in Fort Pierce: The Downtown Fort Pierce Farmers’ Market! It’s a comfortable hour drive north from the Jupiter area to this spectacular market, so definitely plan a half day adventure for this next field trip. The market hosts a variety of vendors including, but not limited to fruits and veggies, meats, breads, smoothies, seafood, sauces, plants, coffee, baked treats, spices, clothing, jewelry, candles, glasses, hats, wood sculptures, and much, much more! By the way this market is rain or shine, so definitely plan accordingly. Another neat thing is that they have live music playing while you shop. I missed my favorite Live Bait band (definitely scope this duo out if you haven’t heard them yet), but Big Coque was in full force providing the jams while you shop. The market opens at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Parking is readily available and FREE! There’s usually around 50-70 vendors on any given Saturday, so you’ll have many tents to perusal. Afterwards, scope out some of the cute shops and restaurants downtown has to offer. Or better yet, grab some provisions from the market, sit waterside, and chow down on your freshly bought lunch!
