Before we get to the post… What are YOU doing this weekend for the Halloween festivities? Well, our next place has a Haunted Halloween Bash THIS SATURDAY 10/27 on the water, a DJ from 7-11 p.m., and a costume contest with cash prizes! Definitely check it out!
The Scene: A Friday night at 6 p.m. and there are parking spots at this waterfront restaurant and resort? We all know what that means! Season hasn’t hit just yet, so if you don’t want to fight for a spot at Shuckers at the Island Beach Resort in Jensen Beach, your best bet is to go SOON! But… if you end up visiting in November, well, don’t say we didn’t warn you… and we’re so so sorry! Check them out here: http://www.islandbeachresort.com/dining/
I will apologize again and again, but by the time the food came, I forgot to take pics of it and my company neglected to remind me until my stomach was stuffed with pure goodness. Shuckers has a legit menu you need to check out, but here are some favs: house made guac, conch fritters, quesadilla, fish dip, and fried oysters. They also have many soups including my favorite french onion. I’ll definitely have to try that next time. Don’t forget the ultimate raw bar and deep fried platter experiences too! Shuckers always has dinner specials, so make sure you ask for that menu, but on top of that you have anything from grouper oscar, honey mustard salmon, chicken marsala, meatloaf, ribs, island crusted mahi and a whole variety of pasta dishes including jumbo seafood ravioli! And… the menu goes on… they have sandwiches including burgers (beef and ahi tuna), cuban, wraps, grouper reuben, french dip and of course mahi tacos! The salads, side options, and desserts are well rounded and between the key lime pie and peanut butter pie… make sure to leave some room. Oh right, and on Sundays… breakfast buffet anyone? Yup! Sign me right up please!
Shuckers has an event calendar on their website that has trivia nights, live bands, DJ, and even special holiday/ fun night events. They have an inside and outside bar, as well as in and out table seating. There are a few TVs too if you fancy catching the game. Happy hour is from 3-6 p.m. M- F and on Sundays they have a couple of beer specials and $4.00 rum runners. Whoa, watch your step. Between the ambiance and water view you can’t go wrong with this place even if it’s just for a drink. I mean who doesn’t like water views and a cocktail? Enjoy! http://www.islandbeachresort.com/entertainment-schedule/
