The District Table & Bar at 4665 SE Dixie Hwy in Stuart is the quintessential farm to table restaurant. The menu is perfectly fitting for any and all appetites. For starters, it offers street corn, a cheese/meat plate, deviled eggs, and a plethora of raw bar offerings. In addition, they offer simple, but delicious flatbreads, salads, bone marrow, snapper, sweet tea fried chicken, and even an adorable cheeseburger plate that comes with your own milk shake. I think I saw about six orders of cheeseburgers go out in the hour I was there, so you know that’s a popular in house dish. They also have many decadent desserts ranging from chocolate cake to cinnamon sugar donuts. Who says you can’t start with dessert first?
The atmosphere is nothing short of inviting and cozy. From the barnyard feel to the fire pit outside with Adirondack chairs, this place is perfect for any occasion. The service at the bar was prompt and courteous. They have a couple of specials, including a happy hour with $5 cocktails and $3 drafts. Kids aren’t left out either. On Tuesday, they eat free! Tune into their website for seasonal special changes. Live music is played on Wednesday’s and Sundays as well. If you’re looking for a comfortable, quaint, and fresh spot, look no further. I’ll be back very soon!
