The New Guac On The Block

The much anticipated PapiChulo Tacos opened with a ginormous bang this past Thursday.  Needless to say, it was a packed house. Ok, let’s be honest, it was slammed! I can reassure you that this is definitely going to be Jupiter’s newest hangout hotspot. There was a 1.5 hour wait, so make sure you arrive with the intention that you’ll most likely face one. It just gives you an excuse to try their delicious margaritas from the bar. Speaking of which, the bar was bustling with locals and visitors alike taking in the new guac on the block as their brightly lit welcome sign advertises off US1. The indoor/outdoor seating is plentiful and enchanting. It’s set up in a way that it makes you feel like you’re tucked away off the beach and not actually bordering US1. There’s even a backyard hang out spot where you can play ping pong, jenga, and corn hole. The astro turf surrounding the building was an amazing touch and made it feel even more cozy. PapiChulo’s has a savory, but simple menu made up of tacos, street food, and sweets. I was lucky to get a seat at the bar and take advantage of the great happy hour they have to offer.  From 3pm-6pm and 10pm-close daily, all drinks are 50% off with $3 and $5 food specials.  I ordered the Smoke + Chill Margherita.  Whoa, what a cocktail!!  It definitely hit the spot after a long work week.  The best part… it is made with all fresh ingredients.  As for the food, I ordered the pollo taco, the gringo freedom taco, and the yucca fries.  The food was delectable and some of the tastiest I’ve had in the area.  Tacos were super fresh and flavorful.  The yucca fries were perfectly accompanied by a mojo and chili lime aioli.  I will most certainly order those every time I visit.  So yummy! Like many, I am sometimes hesitant to try a place out when they first open because they are working out their kinks, but PapiChulo Tacos shows no sign of shortcomings. Well done everyone! A particular standing ovation goes to the bartenders, who were very friendly, speedy, and attentive. Talk about crowd control. With every single bar seat taken and people standing two deep to the bar, they took charge and delivered! We have a definite, must try, new local hot spot in Jupiter and I’m already planning my next visit.
