Tequesta meets trendy with the recently opened Joscō Bar and Oven. Located off US1, the restaurant is catching the eyes of locals and visitors alike. The colorful and radiant mural immediately captures your attention upon arrival and brings the outdoor patio to life. From here, you can’t help but want to see what the restaurant has in store. Joscō has an outdoor bar and if the weather isn’t cooperative, they have the option to open and close the roof in a moments notice. Inside/ outdoor dining – definitely a brilliant idea, especially in Florida. Cocktails, beer, and wine are half off at the bar along with select appetizers during happy hour, which runs weekly from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. The restaurant inside is modern and cozy. The wood burning oven can been seen from tables and booths, which most certainly adds character to the open atmosphere. After watching and smelling the impressive pizzas go in and out of the oven, the margherita pizza was ordered immediately! The pizza was light, flavorful, and the crust was perfectly crisped by the wood oven fire. On to the main course…the paccheri pasta with short rib ragu was a no brainer as it popped right out of the menu. The waitress mentioned that was the most ordered item on the menu. #score This homemade pasta was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The short rib ragu was plentiful, tender, and seasoned wonderfully. Ordering this dish is highly suggested.
The menu items are unique and definitely reasonably priced. With everything being amazingly delightful, dessert was in order… ok, maybe two desserts! Wow, what a way to end the meal. Introducing … warm Italian donut holes and chocolate mousse with raspberries and pistachios. The donut holes were delectable and great for sharing. The chocolate mousse was sweet with the raspberries and salty with the pistachios. The portions are definitely shareable, however those with a sweet tooth might want to save it all for themselves. Josco is a definite highly recommended hot spot. They take reservations, which are highly encouraged with it being a new comer to the neighborhood.
