As active local bloggers who are constantly commuting up and down US1, we were really excited to see another new local business open. Any avid surfers out there who need a java jolt? Introducing Carve Surf & Coffee (“Carve”) in Tequesta. Created by two local girls, the vibe reminds me of my travels to Costa Rica. The decor is simple, but definitely encompasses their love of the ocean and surfing. The walls are adorned with surfboards and cozy seating nooks are within. There is a clothing rack and shelves hosting travel mugs, jewelry, and other knick knacks. Carve offers Panther coffee, Rishi teas, a handful of specialty drinks, locally-made vegan gluten free pastries from Importico’s Bakery, and other light breakfast/ lunch bites. In addition, they sell eco-friendly surf accessories and offer monthly/ daily surf club memberships that are $99 a month/ $45 per day. A monthly membership gets you a 24 hr. session max per board, access to all club boards, fins and leashes, and makes you eligible for specials at the coffee shop. On occasion, Carve also hosts yoga events and movie nights, so definitely follow them on IG. This will be a wonderful place for surfers alike to gather, discuss the sea state, and hopefully catch the big wave.
